Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Strategic Recruitment will serve as part of the team continuing to recruit and enroll prospective students into Jacksonville University. The position will support new operational initiatives to support strategic functions of student recruitment. The position will continue build professional relationships with prospective students through multiple mediums while also navigating national trends, data review. The position will also evaluate applications, supporting documentation and advise students geared towards enrolling more
students.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  •  Support and oversee our Scholarship programs and support our Admissions Liaison when necessary. 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Drive student recruitment and take responsibility supporting implementation of efficient reports, queries, and voyagers built for undergraduate admission counselors.
  • Assist Associate Director of Recruitment with travel planning and reporting initiatives.
  • Develop resources for recruiters to use in their personal recruitment strategy.
  • Develop projects/strategies that leverage out of state partnerships to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Cultivate and explore new relationships that can drive and improve our recruitment plan. This includes representing the University to local schools, community partners, or educational consultants.
  • Communicate with student applicants, parents, advisors, consultants, and recruiting partners to facilitate the admissions process.
  • Collaborates with internal university departments to research, collate, and share with colleagues, information, and data relevant to the recruitment landscape.
  • Ensure the maintenance of records and reporting in relation to the monitoring of student recruitment.
  • Contribute with onboarding new admissions counselors primarily focused on procedures, travel planning, and report building.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Strong understanding of the admissions cycle, application review process, student recruitment, and key industry metrics
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives and planning recruitment travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, and other basic technology.
  • Experience with Technolutions Slate preferred 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines.
  • Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone.
  • Ability to operate a multi-passenger golf cart
